I don't get worked up over avatar images (although I really did block the image). Heck, I'm cool with you not liking my avatar. It just went with the

Get Firefox, and then get this plugin: AdBlock
After that, it's just a matter of right clicking on the offending image, selecting Adblock image and choosing what level of blocking you want (typically the highest level so you only block the particular image in question). This is the reason I like Firefox so much. I install Adblock, Flashblock, and NoScript and suddenly the internet becomes a lot less cluttered with crap I don't want on it. It also becomes a lot more secure.
