Otto Warmbier was a college student who went on a trip to North Korea, and was arrested for taking a propaganda poster in the hotel his group was staying in. He was sentenced to 15 years hard labor, and was released 17 months into his sentence, last week. The 22 year old was in a vegetative state, and the regime claimed he went into a coma in March of 2016 after contracting embolism. No evidence of such illness was found by American doctors, and the allegations of him being beaten by North Korean guards remain unverified or disproven. Trump has denounced the regime, but there is no word if there will be any response beyond comments on Twitter.
